Pocketful of Wishes

Because everyone deserves cake.

Pocketful of Wishes is a community-centered offering from Pocketful of Daisies created to celebrate people who may be going through a difficult season or simply don’t have the means to be celebrated in the way they deserve.

Each month, one person will be chosen to receive a handmade cake. Recipients must be local to Columbus, Ohio. Nominations will remain open throughout the month, and selected recipients will be contacted during the first week of the following month.

Nominations are open for children, adults, elders, friends, neighbors, or families who could use a little extra sweetness and kindness. While birthday cakes are always welcome, nominations may also be submitted for other meaningful life moments such as grief and loss, illness, recovery, new beginnings, major life changes, hardship, loneliness, or simply someone who quietly gives so much to others.

This program is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, celebrated, and remembered, no matter their season of life.

Every nomination is deeply appreciated and thoughtfully read, even if I am unable to fulfill every request.

If you would like to nominate someone (or yourself), please send an email with the information below. All submissions are kept private and handled with compassion.

All cakes will be made gluten-free, as gluten flour cannot be handled in my kitchen. Designs will be simple, cozy, and thoughtfully made rather than intricate or heavily decorated, with the focus being on comfort and care.

Candles will be included for celebratory occasions.
